Purposes of operation:

- Serving national interests in the development of domestic aviation: improving the image of Vietnam Airlines brand name; gradually increasing the number of aircraft owned by Vietnam and reducing the dependence on international aircraft market supply;

- Being a profitable organization, ensuring the interests of the shareholders;

- Following the international norms and standards; becoming an aircraft leasing company with prestige and brand name in the regional and international aviation market;

- Gradually expanding the market to the countries in the region and all over the world.


Development orientations:

Period 2007 – 2014:

- Negotiating, signing Aircraft Purchasing Agreements and Aircraft Leasing Agreements with suppliers and domestic airlines (mainly VNA). In short term, the company shall focus on medium and long-haul aircraft in the Fleet Development Plan of VNA up to 2015 approved by the Prime Minister; implementing and following up payment and other terms in the Aircraft Purchasing Agreements.

- Seeking new aircraft leasing contracts; specifying the market demands to place more aircrafts purchasing orders.

- Investing, doing business in air taxi transportation; participating in the establishment of the newly established joint-stock airline; establishing the Pilot Training Center in Vietnam.

- Investing in the construction of technical infrastructure at airports; operating at passenger and cargo terminal complex, hangars, and other supporting centers.

- Taking into account the fleet development plans of VNA, other domestic and regional airlines, expanding the aircraft purchasing and leasing activities considering the company’s capacity while meeting the market demands.

- Financial investment activities.

- Human resource training to meet the requirements of the company’s business scopes.

Period after 2015:

- Enhancing business activities, improving financial capacity, marketing capacity, and promoting the company to the foreign community to improve the prestige of VALC on the international aviation market.

- Improving the company’s fleet, owning modern aircraft with high competition capacity; making the income from aircraft leasing activity become major amongst business scopes of the company.

- Expanding business scopes to other specialized businesses in the aviation field.

The characters – VALC - symbolize a launching platform helping aircraft to fly high and far and highlight VALC’s value and importance to customers.

VALC and our businesses being illustrated by the image of an aircraft indicate our breakthrough in choosing this new and challenging business.
